Head East to Shatur, the Elf city.
If they have a bow with range 7 or better, or arrows with more than 25 damage, sell all your gems to try to buy it.
Do the two dungeons by this city

Heart of the Gloom
This is where Singularity Arrow will shine
You're still pretty fragile so teleport out if needed
You should hopefully find a better bow and arrows by the end of this dungeon, also don't forget to look for better swords and daggers for your off-set
Boss: The Withering Thing
I had no problems with this guy, easy to pick off at a distance
Level 8
Start saving your class points now for when you unlock Statis at level 10
Stats: Magic + 3
Chromancy / Chromancy
Foresight 1
Contingency 1

Norgos Lair
When it asks you to stroll, stay instead, you need the exp and items
Level 9
Stats: Mag + 2, Dex + 1
Save the points
Boss: Norgos the Frozen
This dude will pull you up to him so get as many shots off as you can early.
As soon as he pulls you in pop regeneration and Warp Blade
He shouldn't last very long against you
If you get frozen, use your Wild infustion to break it
You should be close to level 10. Head SE to Last Hope and watch out for Zigurs
Wander around North of Last Hope to trigger the Lumberjack event, then go to the village to kill that dude and hopefully level up
Level 10
Stats: Magic + 1
Dex + 2
Use a catagory point to unlock Statis
Chronomancy / Stasis
Spacetime Stability 1
Time Shield 3
Time Shield is your bread and butter spell. Pop it before every boss fight.
Now set up Contingency to use Time Shield
Head into Last Hope and take the Alchemist quest for elixer of foundations
You can also take the necro quest from him but don't go there yet
